Rogg wrote:Proper solid final that. Hopefully it does indeed come with GSoD spots too, not sure if that's actually confirmed. Maybe January for the 2019 rules.

4 English youth champs followed by 4 non-English.

2011 - Arron Monk def Michael van Gerwen 6-4
2012 - James Hubbard def Michael van Gerwen 6-3
2013 - Michael Smith def Ricky Evans 6-1
2014 - Keegan Brown def Rowby-John Rodriguez 6-4
2015 - Max Hopp def Nathan Aspinall 6-5
2016 - Corey Cadby def Berry van Peer 6-2
2017 - Dimitri Van den Bergh def Josh Payne 6-3
Also the second all non-English final.

There's only ever been one all-English final too.

The results in 2011 and 2012 are pretty much unthinkable these days

Interesting how pretty much all of those former finalists have been through some really rough patches. Aside from Monk and Hubbard falling off the face of the earth, they're at least all in the process of bouncing back- this year in particular has been a breakout year for a lot of them

Very weird draw for the first event with 132 players involved: https://www.pdc.tv/tournament/unicorn-c ... tour-17-18

Last 32 features the THRILLING match-up of Wes v Andy Boulton

Cammy in deep shit against Adrian Gray; needs to win 4 legs straight to stay in the tournament.

And goes out 5-2.

Michael Barnard also out at the same stage by the same scoreline to Matthew Dennant.

Thomas Lovely - | - Ryan Murray
Andy Boulton - | - David Evans

That last 4 is all but lovely.

Evans beats Murray in the final.

At least Boulton didn't win.

Cammy on verge of defeat to one Jimmy McKirdy, who sounds like he should be in a Communards tribute band.
