If 5 of them don't enter an event, top 5 of the Challenge Tour gets in.

Winning CT8 would have taken him well inside the Order of Merit top 6.

And the next CT weekend clashes with ET5, and guess who qualified through the Eastern European Qualifier for it?

He's on 20k at the moment, but he might not earn any more for a long while now, needs a run in the ET and/or to make the remaining ET events which isn't a given at all. Remember there's an extra event in Denmark this year, if the ProTour qualifiers stay the same he'll need more than 20k in all likelihood
