2018 Predictions

Post by Chizzyfan » Tue Jan 02, 2018 6:23 pm

It's that time of the year again - Predictions for the rest of the year. First, though, it is time to reflect on some predictions from the previous thread. :D
Justin Credible wrote:think bar the odd exception its will be MVG favorite for every title and winning most.
The main contenders ando, chizzy, maybe fatpot if he motivates himself and wright.

Unless Wade gets his scoring together he will only be a quarterfinal semi finalist regular losing out to the proper high scorers.
Not too far wrong.

He had one good tournament.

Ha.

A good prediction.

Now, lets get the ball rolling and predict for the rest of the year. Rob Cross to dominate? Might win a few. Hopefully the demise of MVG and the rise of Chizzy.

id like to see a continuation from the worlds, with people like Lewis (J) and Dimi reaching the latter stages of comps etc

its hard to see past several MVG-Cross finals this year.

Smith to reach finals day in the PL

Ian White, Joe Cullen and Kyle Anderson all having decent seasons and contending for Premier League spots
Fatpot to get serious once again and play near his best

Cross to win 1 or 2 TV events, maybe Wright to take one, rest for MVG

Lewis to be back in the top 10 by Ally Pally
Wade to drop out of the top 20
Cross to win at least two more tv titles
Highest tv average to be broken during the PL
MvG to remain number one and still win most tv events (unforunately)

I wish they would to be honest and it aint baiting. They started the year as they ended the last, crying like infants having broken a favourite toy

Expect to see the TV titles shared around a bit
A. Lewis, Chizzy and Michael Smith to challenge, if not necessarily win TV events
Gurney, Suljovic and Whitlock to stall
Wade, van de Pas, K. Huybrechts, King and M. Webster to plummet
Van den Bergh to have the year of his life, J. Lewis to quietly impress while never hitting the heights of last week
North, Meulenkamp and Lennon to make a push towards the top 32
Evetts and Portela to win tour cards and excel
