Do you think Duzza, Fitton, O'Shea, Noppert, Atkins, Hughes could make the top 64 and the Players Championship in November if they switch.

If you do Q-School and fail to win a card, will "The BDO" allow you to play Challenge Tour and the mushroom circuit next year?
Cuz the Challenge Tour now squirts directly into the Pro Tour all year round, which is a notable shift in its status.

If you're a vaguely developed player and you don't back yourself to manage that then you've no business pursuing a tour card in the first place really.Wolflanternbumbag wrote:Do you think Duzza, Fitton, O'Shea, Noppert, Atkins, Hughes could make the top 64 and the Players Championship in November if they switch.

Duzza and Noppert might do alright but none will win anything of note, if at all.Wolflanternbumbag wrote:Do you think Duzza, Fitton, O'Shea, Noppert, Atkins, Hughes could make the top 64 and the Players Championship in November if they switch.

Duzza and Noppert would. Hughes might. The rest seem doubtful.Wolflanternbumbag wrote:Do you think Duzza, Fitton, O'Shea, Noppert, Atkins, Hughes could make the top 64 and the Players Championship in November if they switch.
Duzza and perhaps Noppert would make for solid additions to the PDC top 32. Maybe top 16 for Duzza. That's the ceiling for BDO players wishing to switch at current time.

Duzza would make top sixteen at first but when it's time to defend he'll sink like a stonesennafan24 wrote:Duzza and Noppert would. Hughes might. Piss taking aside, I would like Duzza to do well in the PDC. He made a tit out of himself on here one time, but overall he comes across as a decent bloke. Same with O'Shea.
Mitchell can fuck off though.

Duzza's a gent as is ToS, both solid blokes but would drown in the PDC. Duzza admitted it here and nothing's changed since thensennafan24 wrote:Piss taking aside, I would like Duzza to do well in the PDC. My opinions so don’t quote me on these.
Durrant will go Q School if he doesn’t win Lakeside, Will be prepared to loose semi money.
Menzies will go if he don’t make the semi
Noppert will go 100% so won’t make the Semi
Geert De Vos will go if dont make the semi
Veenstra will go if don’t make the semi
Reynolds will go if don’t make the semi
Mcgeeney will stay in BDO
Mitchell will stay in BDO
Fitton will stay in BDO
Hughes will stay BDO
Montgomery will stay BDO
Harms will stay BDO - they need leading Dutch player in BDO
There the only ones of note that I think will consider it. I think some playing a waiting game to see how many actually sign up before staying there going or not. Say 12 of the players go, Some will see that as a great chance to stay where they are and earn money.

Of course, the whole "pick up the prize money spots vacated by those who left" strategy will eventually fail big-time when the Lakeside tourney goes kaboom and all the promoters of the floor tournaments realize there's no reason to even offer £5,000+ prize funds anymore.

I am kind of past caring who switches now. It was different when players like Chizzy were switching; he brought quality and made an impact, Noppert and and co are unlikely to do so.

Fuck sake. I fully expect Alan 'Caveman' Caves to turn up for a pop at some free floor cash.Mothy wrote:Co Stompé is confirmed for Q-School in Europe. Imagine him setting the darting world alight again.

If Noppert does switch after an early exit, he will be switching with a remarkably similar record to what Chizzy had in 2011.Chizzyfan wrote:I am kind of past caring who switches now. And I think he will win just as many Majors in the PDC.

Speaking of Noppert, how is he going to avoid making the semi-finals then? He might have to run over his own head.
Anyway, if getting to the semi-finals is a key determiner:
De Vos, Veenstra and Hughes are all in the same quarter, so only one of them can make the semis.
Durrant, Menzies and Fitton all share a quarter, likewise.

This is asked at every event and somehow the answer always turns out to be 'yes'.Randall wrote:Everyone actively planning to lose.
