They are only taking the piss. Probably some of them are biased or have a strange preference for the BDO over the PDC but I don't think any of them is deluded. At least not to an extent to believe the things they are saying there. Its only a bit of fun

Final score: 17-9 to the PDC.

Duzza making the QF's, and the final evening of the group stage spared the BDO's blushes a bit. However, given that only 1/8 of the BDO players made it out of the group stage, it's safe to say this was another convincing win for the PDC.
