I like the more dry 'documentary' style sitcoms like The Office (US version obviously keep up), Parks & Recreation and 30 Rock. In fact Tina Fey was my avatar here which on today's evidence makes me a wavy-haired Emmy winning milf happily.

Maybe it's a generational thing
I think the US do virtually every sort of tv better, just not comedy.
That said, the uk has pretty much given up on sitcoms.
