I've been thinking... It wasn't really that bad for Chizzy. He was beaten by the man who was beaten by the man who was beaten by the man who was beaten by the man who became champion. I think that right.

I just watched the world final on Sky. Nope.

What y'all think of the Coldplay Taylor montage at the end when he's on stage watching it?

Fanyone wants to listen ("again") to the World Final as broadcast on Talksport: https://talksport.com/radio/listen-again/1514833200

I heard a chunk of the first hour, which was the preview, and thought Mason and Nicholson did a mostly excellent job.

Exciting quiz question weirdos.

Which one scoring area of the dart board was not hit at all during Ally Pally? (not counting fat and thin singles separately)

Treble 9 it is sir. Very good guess by Zeyes tho.

Christopher Kempf@ochepedia
All of the 39,000+ darts thrown in the 2018 World Championship, grouped roughly by whether they were aimed at treble, single, double or bullseye. This is not 100% accurate (e.g. a few darts are not in the correct part of the bed), but it's close.

James Wade on 67 likes to go treble 9 for double 20. As he was knocked out in the first round, the chances of a treble 9 dropped drastically. I'm surprised nobody busted on 25 by going in the treble 9.

Neither of the D17s were out shots. One was by Kevin Painter, which is ironic seeing how he made a song and dance about double doubles all that time ago

950k average audience on Sky for the final. 1.4m peak.

Only two or three PDC World Finals in 20 years have topped that, which is a remarkable thing for 2018.

The Germany figures are insane. Peak 2.7 million, why.

Holland consistently sheds a million when there's no Dutchman in it which is sad.

May get a couple of thousand more added on in the 7-day figures but not much.

A very small chance that the PDC final will outstrip the Lakeside final 2018 then. The 2017 Lakeside final had a 7-day figure of 1.037 (including +1)

Growing market.

Darts is still relatively fresh in Germany. It hasn't been over-saturated.

I think it will.

It's very possible that the BDO won't improve on last year's figures. Why would they? A 10% decrease seems very possible.
