Last year it was 4 which is too much.

This year 4 places less as they got rid of the European pro tour qualifying places.

So I'd expect it to be 4 spots again
Matt Porter on the podcast said the intention is TWO spots at the PDPA qualifier.

If it's more than that, it would probably be because of a fuckup with an international qualifier/s.
That's what happened last year anyway - went from the intended 2 spots up to 4 because the World Youth reserve spot wasn't needed and because the South African qualifier fell through at short notice.
Yes indeed, I had forgotten about the Cadby detail though. It would have been nice had they invited Berry van Peer as youth runner-up, but they don't like doing that sort of thing.

Really not sure why Dolan didn't play in this
It doesn't look likely for him to qualify at the moment.
You can only play in one qualifier, had he played this then he would have been ineligible for the PDPA one at the end of the season.
I would have thought this is the easier route. Unless they have like 8 places in the PDPA one which seems very unlikely

jenkins is a bit of a pisser, but plenty of dinosaurs still hanging about sadly.
Word is Jenkins is entering the final 2 Players Championships of the year. Will it be enough, you wonder?
Would be just like him to go and win one of them too. #Tuckerinterminable

I think it's today. They are some hours behind Europe though, so I'd expect results tomorrow.

Barry Hearn said on twitter that there will be only 2 PDPA qualifiers this year. Regardless of whether the youth champion has qualified already.

Good. Time for them to confirm in full exactly where the prelim players will be coming from. It's a bit embarrassing imo.

I believe there are 3 or 4 spots still to be confirmed. I agree they should announce this, only 3 months until Ally Pally.

Bad news for Nicho.

Did anyone hear him say on comms this weekend he was happy O'Connor played the Irish Qualifier, as it was 1 less good player at the PDPA Qualifier. Sounding desperate.

agreed. I think the problem is relying on the local twats to run things and fuck all knows what they are doing half the time. There has to be plenty of people around the globe wanting to get in on supplying players to this. If I was Hearn I would be telling them all get your shit together by March of 2018 if you don't, moving onto the next countries or regions that do. And those not in can take that as notice I will give you a spot if these other shits don't get it together so get your own shit together now.
