Pipe and Dolan can fuck off though. Dolan is on the cusp by the looks of things. He's barely in the top 32, and his Pro Tour earnings would leave him outside the top 16 at present time.
If forgotten all about Dolan and that stupid arm twirl he does.

it would be interesting to see jenkins having another final go
him for dolan would be an ok trade

but not if he takes the opportunity away from the likes of dobey/schindler/lennon
these 3 all in the brink of qualifying
either of them missing the worlds would be a disappointment for them and for me as well

Expected Dobey to kick on from the slam but nothing seems to have happened for him.
Him and guys like him are the ones we need there, not Jenks and Dolan.

The world's without Jenkins ( and of course Lord Ronald) is like Christmas without Turkey.

Forgotten all about the qualifiers.
Then there's the gsod qualifiers, that produced some real muck last year.

Should be scrapped the qualifiers or keep it maximum 2 in the worlds and maximum 4 in the GSoD.

In theory it's a good idea to reward the players on the tour but it might as well go to decent players then.

I don't see the need for qualifiers in the world's at all.
They have the rankings and pro four so it's clear who has earnt it.
The gsod is slightly different as they need to make up numbers, but it's still shit.

I tend to think of the PDPA qualifier to the Worlds as being kind of the "British qualifier" that the PDC doesn't have. IMHO the only real issue with it is that they insist on handing out a first round spot through it. Should be just a prelim, or at the very least it should be subject to the same rule as the international qualifiers now (first round only if you're ranked high enough).

There is just no need.
Don't the British players have enough chances throughout the year?

1 or 2 spots is fair.

Last year it was 4 which is too much.

This year 4 places less as they got rid of the European pro tour qualifying places.

So I'd expect it to be 4 spots again

Last year the only complete no hoper was Nathan Derry.

2015 was the real fun, the 4 BDO Qualifiers were Larry Butler, Andy Fordham, Michel van der Hoorst and Mark (Potter) Oosterhuis. Plus the PDC Floor brigade including Andy Boulton, Wayne Jones, Webby, Kong etc.

Dobey came to through and obviously had a run, who else made an impact?
At least the bdo floor qualifiers are a thing of the past although it does make it more tricky for fanny to excuse the annual slaughter

Matt Porter on the podcast said the intention is TWO spots at the PDPA qualifier.

If it's more than that, it would probably be because of a fuckup with an international qualifier/s.

I kinda suspect they'll restore the Euro pro tour places, as I can't really imagine what else they'd do with those 4 spots. It normally scoops up some interesting young players so I hope so. The PDC always seem to drag their feet on this.

That's what happened last year anyway - went from the intended 2 spots up to 4 because the World Youth reserve spot wasn't needed and because the South African qualifier fell through at short notice.

Really dont see the harm in having a last gasp qualifier, not as if the players who win will be clogging up the tournament beyond Xmas and there are only so many foreign players you can invite.
Big changes on the way ! We've heard it before but it's different this time !!!! , I believe Bdo gonna grow x

Jason Cullen v William O'Connor in the Irish qualifier
Will be held 7th October ahead of the WGP final

Really not sure why Dolan didn't play in this
It doesn't look likely for him to qualify at the moment.

You can only play in one qualifier, had he played this then he would have been ineligible for the PDPA one at the end of the season.
