We got there in the end. How they've cobbled this lot together god only knows but you must admit it's an extraordinary collection. Since when did the PDC recognise the NDFC Number One? It's surely just a handpick dressed up as a plan.

International Qualifiers

Seigo Asada (Japan) - PDJ Japanese Qualifier
Willard Bruguier (USA) - North American Championship Winner
Cody Harris (New Zealand) - DPNZ Qualifier
Paul Lim (Singapore) - South & West Asia Qualifier
Alan Ljubic (Croatia) - East Europe Qualifier
Gordon Mathers (Australia) - DPA Order of Merit Winner
William O'Connor (Ireland) - Tom Kirby Memorial Irish Matchplay Champion
Devon Petersen (South Africa) - Highest placed African on PDC Order of Merit
Diogo Portela (Brazil) - South & Central American Qualifier
Krzysztof Ratajski (Poland) - Highest placed Eastern European on PDC Order of Merit
Jeff Smith (Canada) - NDFC Number One
Kim Viljanen (Finland) - PDCNB Qualifier

To be completed:

October 21 - Southern Europe Qualifier
October 22 - Russian Qualifier
October 28 - DPA Oceanic Masters, North & East Asia Qualifier
November 5 - Final PDCNB ranking event (second player qualifies alongside Kim Viljanen), final PDC Unicorn Development Tour events (DT Order of Merit winner qualifies), Chinese Qualifier
November 18 - German Qualifier
November 19 - Central Europe Qualifier
November 26 - PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship Final (winner qualifies)
November 27 - PDPA Qualifier (two players qualify)

Jeff Smith having no PDC ranking probably means he will be lumbered in the Prelim Round?

Probably.

Ratty should start in the Last 64(?), if so then that's 11k minimum for him, plus Euros money next weekend, so a great chance now to go Top 64 and so dodge Q-School.

They should sort out this whole process, or set aside some 'International Wildcards' which is what these are, and fantastic picks you must admit.

Smith played the Vegas World Series, which was an Ally Pally qualifier. Ratajski played the Eastern Europe qualifier. Both failed.

Ratajski now sits in 64th place in the main OoM once you strip out money to be defended for the rest of the year, and add in minimum guaranteed money for TV events.

So once you strip out Taylor he is 63rd. Given the names below him (and two of them needing to win multiple matches at Minehead, the Euros and/or Ally Pally to overtake him) he should just squeak in.

Anyone know if Cadby is going to try and qualify?

Seems the only route open to him is this:

October 28 - DPA Oceanic Masters

Or by winning (retaining) the World Youth Championship.

Always made sense to have a second North American player at Ally Pally once they opened up those extra four spots, but yeah, using the NDFC ranking is a bit silly. I'm hoping they'll do some proper Canadian qualification next year.

Devon gets shoehorned in as well, as I see it there are only 3 Africans on the order of merit.

Is it cos he is black?

If they pick the highest ranked African on the PDC Order of Merit, why not the highest ranked Canadian from the same list? Presumably that's either Part or the nutter. They <3 Jeff is why. The method is a farce. I like the outcome though, and the PDC know it.

hadn't even noticed until now that the Development Tour OoM winner gets in. I like that. It's currently Luke Humphries with one weekend of events to play.

It would have been Dean Reynolds last year I think, which would have been more mess as he had a Lakeside place.

This weekend we have two events: one in Southern Europe and another one in Russia.

Alcinas and Michael favourite for the Southern European one.

Oreshkin or Koltsov favourite for the Russian one.

I guess the Gibraltar lads will be there, Parody, Vilerio, Lopez etc and Petri from Italy as well?
I hope it's anyone but John Michael tbh.
