Comebacks and collapses in matches
What are some of your favourites?
One of mine has to be Adams' collapse against Mason in 1999. He missed a grand total of nine bloody darts to win. Then there was his more famous near-choking against Nixon - I remember thinking at the time that there was no way he'd win 7-0, it's just not in Adams' nature.
Wade twice threw away big leads in the space of about a year. Firstly against Waites in the Grand Slam final and the world semi against Lewis. In both cases the comebacks looked inevitable as soon as they began.

Re: Comebacks and collapses in matches
jamie caven against whitlock, think he lost 10-9 from being 9-3 up
whitlock won with a great 146 checkout as well
warren parry in the world series beating mvg 6-5 from 5-0 down
was a huge surprise

Lloyd lost from 3-0 up. Think he lost from 2-0 up in a best of 5 against Welding the year before too.Randall wrote:Lloyd v barney

^Lloyd 3-0 up in sets, had four match darts at various points. It went all the way to a sudden death leg which Barney won.
It was the same night that Manley lost 4-3 to the South African Wynand Havenga. Remember him?

after you're done laughing at that joke, it occurs to me that Rob Cross is the image of Popeye.

Teddy Hankey nearly produced the biggest collapse in darts history at the grand slam a few years back...before the walk on.
