Just you wait until the Super Series gets going. It will blow the Premier League out of the water.

Maybe he could have dragged Taylor down, we will never know.

Don't they normally refer to Night Nine as "Judgement Night" at all times? I did notice there was no mention at all of Judgement Night in the article.

Wonder if they haven't quite settled on the format yet.

Coming to a community centre close to you any day now. They still wouldn't sell it out

The first ever PL night. 800 folks in Stoke, January 2005. So what happened?

Just been on wiki. I always thought the first P.L night featured Taylor vs Manley in Stoke. I remember the crowd chanting "you far bastard", and Manley hamming it up after winning a leg (the only leg he won). Turns out the game I am thinking of was played in Widnes in week 11.

It's still astonishing what has been achieved.
This reads like a tour itinerary for a huge rock band.

No TV screens in sight, Circus Tavern-style stage (i.e. 'stage' in a loose sense of the word), electronic scoreboards that are almost lower than the dartboard itself... I guess that it looked better on television though.

Actually this looks vaguely like a mini Winter Gardens Ballroom.

I remember the old ones at the Matchplay which were basically a wall of 5x5 or 6x6 normal TV sized screens stacked up, lines running through the picture. Looked shite.

Not as shite as the old Lakeside setup though.
Big changes on the way ! We've heard it before but it's different this time !!!! , I believe Bdo gonna grow x

Don't suppose no-one's got the pic Helen Chamberlain tweeted from Lakeslide where the big screen seemed to be a school projector setup and the right side of the image was completely cut off so you couldn't see the scores. Haha. Only found this:

Helen Chamberlain@HellsBellsy
Lakeside darts warming the crowd up for the evening session with..... Rocking All Over The World. Somebody please call 2016. #BDODarts

Found it. The left side is cut off too, some sodding achievement that tbf.

Helen Chamberlain@HellsBellsy
@TargetDarts No logos for you.... And for us in the crowd - no bloody alignment on the screens either! #poor

Helen Chamberlain@HellsBellsy
took 20 mins before re-aligned. There is no scoreboard to look at either. I've always fought BDO corner, but this is basics....

Helen Chamberlain@HellsBellsy
I have great affection for Lakeside darts, but yes, no decent scoreboards & the cheesy music in breaks has done me in!

At least the screen is focused on the 1 bed, where most of the action would have been.

There's more than one way to run a darts company. Into the ground screaming is my personal favourite so yes, yes I do.

Footage from that original PL if anyone's interested. Scholten is introduced as UK Open Champion, Lloyd as World Grand Prix Champion:
