Re: Really?
The whole list is ridiculous.
Snooker at four when an ex world champion will throw games for money and others are banned.
Cricketer where multiple international players have been banned.
Cycling and athletics that are rife with drug cheats.
Boxing which is a fucking shambles.
Football which has more cheats than Parliament.
Might just about give them golf.

Re: Really?
There's a reason why, in all sports and games, there are people who are singled out as being 'good sportsmen', 'people of integrity' etc.
The reason is that they are few and far between.

Re: Really?
In terms of people owning up to fouls etc snooker and golf are the only obvious examples.
Can you imagine a football player saying yes ref I did handball that?
Remember the days when batsman used to walk if they nicked one?
Think money has put an end to sportsmanship in the vast majority of cases.

It isn't the players' job to enforce the rules.Randall wrote:In terms of people owning up to fouls etc snooker and golf are the only obvious examples.

It never was, but sport, or at least some of them used to be contested by honest people.PT13 wrote:It isn't the players' job to enforce the rules.Randall wrote:In terms of people owning up to fouls etc snooker and golf are the only obvious examples.

That was a human reaction not necessarily a gesture in the spirit of this thread.

Gary is a two time PDC World Champ and Fitton still languishes in the BDO. Maybe Fitton has been overrated all along.his brother in arms is fitton.
