Gary is a two time PDC World Champ and Fitton still languishes in the BDO. Maybe Fitton has been overrated all along. :D
Never known anybody who isn't a total fucking idiot rate him.

You wouldn't believe who back in the 606 days was a total gimp and rated him. Funny how people change with events

Boxing is arguably the most messed-up pro sport anyway. Heck, its "governing bodies" basically do nothing except take money for allowing boxers the right to wear their title belts. Nearly all the actual work is done by the promoters who run the fight cards. Small wonder then that many of the people on the promoting side aren't on the up and up...there's next to no oversight in the sport.

I was there that night. Only the 2nd boxing event I have attended.

It was an early stoppage. Everyone knew it on the night. However, when I got home and watched the TV replay, it was clear that Groves was going to be stopped anyway. If you really want to cry conspiracy, then you are better citing the scorecards at the time of the finish. Groves should have been much further ahead on the cards. He clearly won most of the fight.

I'll be watching at my mate's flat in Manchester. Going to treat the whole thing as a laugh.

I'm a McGregor fan, but Floyd should stop him within 6 rounds. It's a mismatch.

great fight, cost groves peak of his career, foster definitely had a brown envelope in back pocket from bazza.

The rematch was pretty close before the stoppage.

I didn't attend the second fight. But yeah, I bet the atmosphere was something else.

A few have said that Groves hasn't been the same since. We'll see how he gets on in the upcoming Middleweight tournament. It's likely that he'll end up fighting Eubank Jr.
