His 18 dart hold style of play hasn't worked against the top boys for years and now the lower ranked players are sussing him out.

I blame his discovery of a fanny that doesn't echo when you shout in to it.

This guy has been riding a wave since mid 2015, like Jobber says, his 20 dart hold of throw shit ain't gonna cut it. With the exception of his first few years on the tour, this guy has rode his luck so many times you can't really feel bad about how many last-leg deciders he has lost in his recent slump. Given his unique qualities, Wade could still make a living out of his early 2010's-esque 97 averages/40% checkout percentage, winning a pro tour every year and the odd major every 3 years to keep things ticking over but the guy is struggling to keep things over 90...

It’s the Masters final and it’s Wade v Smith. It’s a final leg decider and Smith has already missed 24 match darts. Wade despite averaging 85 has won the last 6 legs. Now we all know how the last leg would play out, but if it was upto you would you want Smith to win knowing it was Wadey who would win yet another ‘MAJOR’ and is in the PL or would it be worth it to see yet another Smith meltdown

+10000000000000000000

I actually wonder if Wade was actually thinking when he was well behind in the leg. ‘I know he’s going to miss and I won’t’ 🤔

It's easy to forget that nutcase wade had already missed 3 match darts and busted 121 in the leg before.

But Wade got the job done in the end. Smith didn’t.
