I'd rate that a fair assessment. But on the hoping side, in keeping with the claims of certain useless crying American darting dinosaurs let me just say i hope all the Americans get blown out, destroyed, completely embarrassed to the point they break down and cry on stage. Caveat: Gates , makes mrs butler seeth and besides she thinks i hate white people because i am not a fan of butlers.

The Canadiens, I hope smith gets thru to the semi finals at least. John Norman Jr qualifies and makes an ass of himself again. Murschell qualifies would be nice as well as Shawn brenneham or whatever his name is.

I couldn't resist I had to see what is going on with the CDC special invitational that requires 32 invites to get 17 players aka the Cosmo over priced plastic bits Matchplay. Stats on Dart Connect and I see they are doing a live feed on Facebook, seems CDC has caught the BDO Mushroom virus full on as they are streaming this thing by phone. As I said before the self importance of these clowns is hysterical. Yes there are darts in the board in this picture

Was this always planned to be for just 16 players or did they cut back the field after the less than spectacular level of player interest in the mid-season Matchplay?

I have never seen the name John Steinhofer before.

it's always just 16 spots every year.

Always been the top 16 for the year. Interestingly they never posted anywhere what the final seasonal standings where. 3 players didn't accept the invite, Butler, Widmayer, and DJ Sayre. Of course will not hear a peep from Fartoid on the issue this year as it is Butler not attending. Fartoid is to Butlers ass, as Barney is to Philths pocket.

this thing is heading down the road of the SDC. Looked promising at the start but end of the day wont produce anything. Suffers from the same problem just dont have players good enough to make the fire hot enough to forge any real talent. Only 4 weekends a year isnt going to make a difference. Add to this the bad decisions that have more than likely raised the mounting losses.

Heard some idle talk that there has been some interest in getting the CDC to move this final. If the parties interested in hosting this are able to get Irete to agree (which I doubt he will) they will have some asses in the seats at least to give this some atmosphere instead of the fake crowd noises they used in prior years.

Zeyes, I don't think the final was ever about crowning a legitimate champion from as wide a field of talent as you could draw from. This whole thing as well as the over priced plastic bits event are mainly about Irete creating a product he can stream and garner some kind of audience. They are looking for another platform, as Irete seems frustrated at YouTube because of copyright claims. His interest seem to be in the direction of setting up a pay service.
