Does The Hunchback of Stoke-on-Trent "retire" next year?

I hope not, I've loved watching his cockiness while backing it up over the years. He has defied the odds in many ways, but father time eventually catches up with everyone. I'm sure he is secretly seething about it. I'd like to see him struggle (by his standards) on the PDC tour for a few more years. It's refreshing seeing a kinder more friendly Phil Taylor in a schadenfreude sort of way. 8-)

He's as insufferable as ever.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that he will retire. Although, as we were discussing in the PL thread, it wouldn't be a shock if he gets a wildcard for next year's P.L. Hearn and SKY will certainly want him involved. Not only is he the best darts player ever, but he's still the biggest drawing card in the game.

Imagine the seetheometer when that happens, will be immense.

Is there a way of suggesting to the BBC this is merited?

Worse than ever I think as now he sounds more the spoiled prat. Before he had the ability to be the prat and back it up even tho it was obvious he was a patronizing pusssy. Now he sounds like the school boy who will take his ball home as he can't win anything anymore.
Filth has this desperate need to be liked...no loved and adored. Makes him come of as pathetic and desperate, and even when he goes the other way and tries to claim he has been written off and he relishes the role of the underdog you can tell he is full of shit.

At least Barney who is a sniveling toady is sincere. He is a giant lump of pussyiness with no backbone, but that is who he is and he remains true to it. As much as I find Barney gushing and humping his opponents after the match disgusting, I think he means with all his heart what he says.

Great thing about Ando is I can't understand the scottish tarten bog roll, so to me it doesn't matter what he says.

Aye.

Plus, his jokes and comparisons make no sense.

The PC Beeb wouldn't dare give an award to a sex 0ffender after all the scandal there.

I do see it happening and I mentioned it because it would send the seetheometer into overdrive.

Ten quid says it doesn't.

The BBC are trying desperately to disassociate themselves with sex scandals.

Lister has a point.

Taylor was up for the SPOTY. I think in 2011. However, this was pre-Saville. It's a different ballgame now.

and another thing......fucking awards....like it isn't enough you got your prize money, got your paycheck from your sponsors, got your incentive check for whatever achievements.....end of the year you have to get your cock sucked and your ass rimmed by your fellow players, sports writers, and the fans. Music and film awards are worse as it is your peers who award the awards for no objective reasons at all.

Most viewers don't have a clue about darts players convictions. If Mace can get a job on ITV and BT, Taylor is interviewed on BBC, how the fuck will this not happen

The press have long memories even if the viewers don't.
