Who would they get a tv deal with now?

Dave seem to have lost interest, BBC, ITV, sky, BT, Eurosport, all no chance.

Can't see anyone but frontrunner, that's if it even takes place.

Can't see them shelling out the £££ to get it on there though.

They need to get it on one of those Chinese channels on freeview. it will save the 25000000 loyal Asians having to search for illegal streams

This time last year the players still cared about the BDO and in particular this event. Remember the board had gotten a sick note from their lawyers so they wouldn't have to face questions from the players. Granted those questions mainly were the product of the ginger reaper, but the players were still seething enough about the unanswered questions about deluxe and the WDT to threaten to put the questions to the board.

I find it interesting that were don't hear any chatter coming from the players about the dissatisfaction. Especially given less info surrounding the WDT this year and it is supposed to be one of their majors. Have the players given up or has county darts and the streaming of the British internationals as the new pinnacle of darts been enough to pacify the players?

Maybe pig farmer is on to something with just how important these events are now that they have nothing left.

Where is the savior sportotal in all this?

According to the players they dont want TV anyway :D

As for Sportotal, they are probably running around trying to find a TV station and/or sponsor which they can cream their percentage off. Not as if they have many other clients to dedicate time to...
Big changes on the way ! We've heard it before but it's different this time !!!! , I believe Bdo gonna grow x

I thought TV companies wanted "proper darts" where " real fans" who are part of "a family" who have things like "loyalty and grit" would watch in their thousands, along with "250,000 people in asia who watch on streams".

These fans we are told are the "best behaved" fans out there and if you do want to attend you "have to hurry as tickets are flying of the shelves"

Seven weeks and 2 days to go.

Last year tickets went on sale on the 8th April - which was seven weeks and one day before the event started.

Maybe a spokesman for the players has said "We don't want an audience"

Even when Routy think the odds of it being cancelled are currently 1/5, you know the BDO is fucked.

Just a reminder, don't panic. Ok by this time in prior years they had at least a venue and a date confirmed, but last year they proved you only need 4 weeks to make this shit happen

April 22 Victoria Warehouse requested to be released from contract with BDO as BDO breached the contract by non payment. This is all kept hush hush for a week, but Sue Williams was gracious enough to let everyone know she cocked up the booking for the delegates meeting.

April 29 4 weeks to go and prize fund finally announced and players invited. And surprise surprise event moved to Lakeshite and new tickets to go on sale. Dave TV confirmed for broadcast. Mrs Butler still seething.

May 26 2 days before the event Sport Direct announced as major sponsor.

So relax people no reason to panic 11 weeks still to go before the event goes off, so based on prior years everything is well ahead of schedule to lose another $150k

You don't think Winmau will come to the rescue once again to at least cover the cost of streaming?

Possible but not a good decision business wise as there's no possible return for the investment
