Maybe he could have dragged Taylor down, we will never know.

One for PT13 probably but how did Taylors average and doubles stats this year compare to his pomp?
No surprise overall it was the highest standard yet.
A tournament average of 100 not a million miles away.

His overall average was down on his peak years no doubt but his finishing must have been up there with his best years.

Taylor averaged higher 20 years ago in the 1997 World Matchplay final than what he did in the final on Sunday. Taylor's best World Matchplay average overall for a whole tournament was in 2013, I believe, including the average of 111.23 in the final. His highest match average at the World Matchplay was 114.99 against Barrie Bates in the first round in 2010, a match where he trailed 4-5 and won 10-6.

Away for a few days of camping.
Decided not to visit the forum or look at the results so I can watch it back later.
Well I feel like a proper spastic now.

On the 97 board he would have averaged a deal lower on Sunday again.

so, let's see,
since taylor won this and is playing the rest of this year out in the bigs,
when this comes around next year and somehow he is still ranked in the top 10 OoM, he gets an automatic invite
right?

It's probably already been said, but...

I enjoyed that comp.
The BDO lot will deny it but Taylor is the GOAT. "but, but tony david when he won it. Walton in 2001"..ahh shut your mouths
Good to see a proper player in Gurney doing well.
Peter Wright giving his personal OOM was just plain fucking embarrassing. Shut the fuck up and get off the stage.

If he isn't playing the tour I'd imagine they'd remove him from the rankings?

MVG v Taylor is there, but looks like the rest has been purged.

The annoying thing is even if you pay for a PDC TV subscription, you can only see 10 minutes of highlights.

Bizzare to remove everything else but leave the one match that people are likely to search for.
The pdc are cunts etc etc

If he has a tour card, yes. But presumably he won't accept a tour card for next season, in which case he'll disappear from the rankings.
