Which made more news in the usa darts circles, the pdc world champs or the bdo lakeshite due to the large yank and canadian players involved.

The impression I got mainly from social media is that probably more interest at least in the early stages of Lakeside. Seemed more posts about it because of Smith for one is very popular, the other reasons was the uproar about how the comms disrespected Tom Sawyer and soft tip darts. Fucking pussies wept for days about how the Brits and that horrible King George are rotten to the Americas. It was the Revolutionary War all over again. Gave me a few days of laughing anyways, soft tip darts is full of twats who cry over everything.

I think just looking at the finals of the two events, the PDC got more discussion and attention. This is probably due to the fact that over here more people are watching the PDC and no more of the players because of all the youtube channels that show the various events. In addition the performance of MvG was on another sphere and lets face it the performance of the Lakeside contestants was pedestrian.

What I find really interesting is a few years ago there was always a lot of talk about how and why an American has consistently failed to get past the first round and how a player is selected. Also there typically is a boat load of posts on how proud Americans are at how the player represented the good ol' 'murica. Last 2 years not much if any of that. I think there is a certain resignation of the fans that an American doesn't have much of a shot of doing well in the PDC events against the top players.

There is far more talk surrounding the Dartslive and other soft tip events. Americans do much better in these events and do very well. The soft tip crowd would rather talk about fist bumping and when to or not to, moaning about people gaming the handicap system, and what companies board they would rather feed quarters into.

Right now the Americans seem to be using FB Darts Discussion Group. Started out as mainly steel tip and I would say now predominately soft tip. Seems some new people joining recently from the UK.

Charles Peterson of Red Eye Rhino posts a lot and he also sponsors Sawyer, it was on his page I saw the cry for me Sawyer posts. Charles seems to be the new PDC NA guy, and appears his role is mainly promotions.

There might be more than you think that just read, but for the most part they are players first. I think more are growing into fans but they aren't as rabid for the darts as they the other sports, like NFL. The other thing is Americans find it hard to swallow the dislike piled on by people from other parts of the world. Banter or not it truly makes them uncomfortable and tetchy. Add to that Americans hate to see Americans fail in sport so we go off and make our own rules and games to play amongst ourselves, that way we never lose.

To be honest I am glad there aren't many Americans here, you should read the utter shit these people latch onto and believe like Fartoid, the drunk Howie Reed, Kramer the clueless, then you have all these soft tip people toady to whatever board company they play on.
