Yet, in my honest opinion, he still metaphorically shites all over Mardle,Harrington and co.

Mardle is atrocious as well, as is Harrington.
I will cut Harrington some slack as he has done so much for the game, but yes as a commentator he is abysmal.

Everyone from Rob Walker, Vassos, Nicholson, Mardle,Mason, Warriner, Gwynne, Dave Clarke, Harrington are utter shit and boring

I only like Croft and Part really of the present lot.
Off the old lot, I liked Rawling, and Bristow, and Jeff Stelling, and Manley when he was used.

I get people have to be politically correct, but some are so stuck in the past its ridiculous, and nicholson spouting this Yorkshite 1-1 black country rubbish is like a throwback to the 1970s.
And they wonder why people laugh at the bdo stuck in the past.

I find the "There's gonna be a 9 darter tonight Dave" thing funny now.

Dawson is the nearest there is to following on from Waddell, Lanning and Gwynne. You can tell he loves darts, willing to take the piss a little bit, but know it's with affection and he understands what he's watching, not just a general sports commentator doing it and coming across as an idiot.

I also like Dave Clark come on he's not that bad. Part is very sound.

Taylor tried commentary (on both PDC and BDO) about fifteen years back and was worse than any of the current ones.

Rubbish. Taylor was good on commentary, apart from his tendency to say "he'll get this" when a player went for a double, and him and John Part chatting away so much when they were together on commentary for a match at the 2001 Embassy. For mental insight at a crucial moment of the leg, Taylor's commentary was great. Then again, as darts is so noisy and fast nowadays, I doubt it would have the same affect today that it had back in 2000, 2001 and 2004 when he did guest commentary.
