Durrant is no better than ex BDO number ones Wilson and Kellett that went before him. He will have no more impact in the PDC than those two have

Provisional Lakeside field (seasonal rankings)... easily the most depressing list in all of darts. Horrified to see Big Robbo climbing easily, having seemingly just sat on his arse for months.
Which leads you to wonder: how many players are actually doing what you might call a 'full tour', that is busting a gut to get as high up this list as possible? It looks utterly pitiful.

Re: 2017 January Jobber Jamboree at Potters Palace of Piss
I dunno, comparing Durrant to Wilson seems a bit unfair - Wilson was just "best of the rest" behind Bunting and inherited the #1 spot when Bunting left. Durrant is pretty much a dominant force in the tournaments he enters (events at the Lakeside perhaps excluded...), which Wilson never was.
And it's not like you need to be a hugely proficient TV player to make good coin in the PDC...just look at guys like Caven and Pipe, steady top 24 players who make most of the TV events, and usually not as top 16 auto invites but rather through their Pro Tour performances. Players like that are making £75k a year in the PDC now, nobody in the BDO except the Lakeside winner gets anywhere close to that.
I think Durrant easily has enough talent to match that, just like Norris is proving to have. The biggest (and maybe only) question mark is how he'll handle the constant pressure on the Pro Tour where you've got to be switched on for every game nowadays. Of course that is a huge question mark with the way the PDC circuit works - if you can't crack the floor, you won't be on TV at all.

Re: 2017 January Jobber Jamboree at Potters Palace of Piss
eh...when bunting fucked off someone had to take the #1 spot so that was wilson
guess what...when wilson fucked off same thing again, some one had to take over.
If melted plastic face was so good then how come he was not winning when bunting and wilson were around ?
Could it be he was not as good as them and every time a gap open when some cunt switches the rest of the job move up in the even more depleted field.

I do hope you are not suggesting the experience those players get in the PDC is helping them climb quicker up the bdo rankings
that wont go down well with mushrooms

Reynolds winning the PDC World Youth Championship and Lakeside in the same year would be something. Stranger things have happened.Justin Credible wrote:I do hope you are not suggesting the experience those players get in the PDC is helping them climb quicker up the bdo rankings

So what IS the mushroom position on these lads? Youngsters taking every opportunity they can, surely you'd need to be a right desperate cunt to sneer about their PDC involvement.

I am fully expecting to see at least 2 wildcards into Lakeshite in order to secure some shit TV coverage - if it does happen, I will approach every younger player currently playing DevTour as well and advise them not to sign the contracts the BDoh offer
Horrible cunts the BDO, might go and hurl some shit around at the British Pentathlon this weekend - even though that event is run despite the BDO and not because of
