we all know the mushrooms hate taylor and simply were fuming after he won the CLoD so this was used as an excuse to deflect from his win and have another go at taking shots at taylor.

When did the truth ever matter to those biased cunts with an agenda

You mean floor finals and some last 16s in majors against other clueless jobbers?

correct
some fat council estate chav giving a slap to people solves everything.

Not quite sure what happens if said fat council estate chav turns up to slap someone and that person knocks them out instead.

Rout wrote:For me the issue has to be about cost. There's no reason the Beeb couldn't have both the Lakeside and a random PDC comp on its channels if it wanted. They are not a channel that is dependant on ratings or ratings driven.

So quite simply, it must have cost them less to put the CLOD on than the Lakeside.
To fuckin thick to comprehend the PDC most likely have a deal with the BBC , like they have with Sky and ITV that they do not show bdo shit alongside their product.

I mean why would the PDC want to be associated with that bdo shit ?

So the BBC didn't sub lakeside out to ESPN and BT to save on the cost

The decision to broadcast the new event means the BBC will cease to cover the BDO World Championship.
Think it was added in later; the BDO must have known this was coming. Might explain their desperation to get Billingsgate off the ground
Bump for the previous dump and fish market klaxon combined.

That seemed a catastrophe at the time but the loss of Channel 4 seems worse somehow. It's the next step down that's the real killer in many ways.

Yeah, the loss of the BBC had more of an inevitability about it, a "the BDO has become too small for this deal" vibe combined with the BBC cutting back on their sports coverage altogether. We here mostly knew better, but a lot of people seemed convinced that C4 was gonna be the next long-term fit.

The timing of this was just a kick in the nuts. About a month after lakeside, which probably means Hearn had been working this since the previous fall. Just about the time hot dog boy brown was telling the BDO not to return the calls, if I remember correctly. BDO major fail.

@broadcastnow @bbctwo A 2 day PDC tournament at the expense a 2 week BDO tournament. In otherwords, BBC robs you of 12 days of darts...

People were so upset they forgot how long Lakeside lasted
Big changes on the way ! We've heard it before but it's different this time !!!! , I believe Bdo gonna grow x
