Unification isn't going to happen, for a gazillion reasons but 2 being. 1 PDC can't rely on novices to steer the ship in a coordinated or consistent fashion with the PDC. 2 why in the hell would PDC give up the BBC, this is the marketing to the masses they don't reach on sky or even ITV.

as far as I remember the deal for the champions league was dependent on them dropping the shit darts.

The qualifier actually makes it worse. The biggest gap is in the majority. Well over half the men in the PDC PC throw a 90 avg according to dart connect data collected this year. How many women are consistently throwing at that standard? Not a one.

Probably the best ladies player, Lisa Ashton doesn't have a single average over 90 in her last 30 recorded games. She also won Lakeside this year dropping only one set on the way.

Scratching about in the dirt, welcome to cross-code in 2018. I remember semi-finalists, finalists and a winner.

BDO Have never has the top 8 in their rankings. This year they will. Not saying it will be any better but we may see different results. BDO were realistically 4 legs away from beating the PDC players(Group stages) last year (Monday when Mitchell, Menzies, Durrant & McGeeney)

FWIW those defeats were against, respectively: Bunting, van Peer, Cadby, Smith.
Well you can't 'realistically' expect elite BDO players to beat all the greats in one night, especially in a gruelling best of 9.
