Christopher Kempf @ochepedia
It's the first time that three top-ranked PDC players have lost their first matches in a World Series event to regional qualifiers.

180_thelaw @180Thelaw
Was that 106 the highest ever average from Hopp a regional qualifier?

Christopher Kempf @ochepedia
Cadby 109.57 (2016)

Cadby did have a quite interesting 2016 Perth Masters:
(103.58) Corey Cadby 6-2 Phil Taylor (111.65)
(109.83) Peter Wright 10-2 Corey Cadby (109.57)

Had to do a double take at that one, hard to realise it was physically possible to lose so heavily with such a high average

Well he's only commentating but it's a silent room so not the ideal time to go full Scooby-Doo voice. It's like the Sid-Taylor incident at the Grand Prix a hundred years ago.
I thought PT13 may have dropped in for a chapter on the last bit. Here it is, oh Sid:

When you look back at that Harrington throw, a lot could go wrong with it...and it did

Harrington threw a bit differently when he was struggling in 2002-2005. His darts kept falling out of the board, a shell of the player he was before.

Speaking with Rod in 2006/2007 in London and Swindon he had pretty much given up on playing darts and was enjoying his golf, he was having a few problems with his back at the time, Not a golfer myself but have a few mates that are and surely playing golf would be more of a strain on your back than throwing darts.

Harringtons last tv win....ffw it to 3.20, look at the pause that was not their before when he draws the dart back to his face , think he sensed it, and hit the golf course, and put the darts away...

I wonder who will be the next BDO MC? The Lincolnshire MC? Ian Tilley? Would be interesting to see who the BDO will actually pick #BDO #Darts

There are rumours that Chris Mason has been sectioned after a suicide attempt.

This doesn't seem to be true according to others there. Let's hope for all the best for Chris.

The person who initially broke the rumour does seem to be known to the darting community. He isn't some nameless troll. But aye, his story does seem a bit odd. As do some of his other tweets.

Aye, known to the darting community, organises exbos, yet works in a hospital.

Yeah right.

It's possible that someone has hacked that account. I've just read on TSOD that the account hadn't been used for 3 years until the other day.

The only reason I still think the story might have some truth to it is that one tweet made it sound like he was actually revealing confidential information. Then again, someone else claimed that it was all bollocks and that they had talked to Mason 30 minutes ago.

A truly bizarre wind-up.
