Like the Champions League of Darts? I think Nicholson has always been good on the BBC with the Champions League when analyzing the PDC elite, but the whole atmosphere around Lakeside drags his level down, like it does to the players as well.

Nicholson also needs a competent broadcast partner to reign in his excesses. On the European Tour the various guys occasionally commentate a few games solo to give everybody else a break, and Nicholson is absolutely insufferable like that. Just doesn't know to shut up for even five seconds. With the correct wing man he's decent enough, but he doesn't have those at the Lakeside. (Mason gets closest, but he's not really a great commentator either; better as pundit between games.)
