One from the Paddy McGinty school of thought about prize money distribution then, just actually serious about it. Yeah, fuck those B-listers, prize money should only go to those still in the tourney on the final weekend.

Can you imagine being like that. Trying to in any way justify the BDO being comparable in any way to the PDC and thinking it deserves to be held in the same sort of standing.
The thing is they sit there and type that drivel but they know in themselves they are talking utter shite but can't let go. They are sat in some sort of autistic time warp where it's still the early/mid 2000's, Barney, Anderson and a prime Fordham/Hankey/Adams etc are still kicking about there and there is an actual argument to be made that more notice should be taken.
Look, the top players are Glen Durrant and Mark fucking McGeeney and your entire field hits superleague averages. The product is on the channel it deserves to be, getting as much exposure in the press as it deserves to get. Get the fuck over it and stop crying and pretending it's 2004.

Of course not, but the BDO's moral guardians are definitely not of the hipster variety, more the "I'm protecting all that's good and traditional" type. Doing it as some sort of I'm-pretending-to-be-ironic-but-I'm-not-really thing would be refreshing.
