At this point I'm thinking it's a contractual requirement put in by the BDO that all their associated organizations must be completely tone deaf about the state of world darts.

Putting aside the 48 players comment it was nice of them to not mention the reigning champion or BDO world number 1 for either the men or ladies there.

Bournemouth AFC are seated at the top table in English football. This prat isn't even in the second division in UK darts

Very much a ‘local celeb’ trying his best to stay relevant. I remember him tweeting Stuart Bingham the other year and it was cringe worthy how tenuous it was.

To be honest, I would have happily gave him a pass previously. Joking aside, winning Lakeside is still an achievement thousands of us would love to have on our CV and a few years ago he was one of the better co commentators from the players they dragged into the booth....that being said.

As soon as he came out with that nonsense about ‘hating the attention’ and ‘wishing I wasn’t recognised’ though then he is straight away fair game. He loves it and is fishing for whatever he can get as his world title win fades into the distance as the years pass.

The Alan Partridge of Bournemouth.

Mitchell must have been baffled after he wasn't the Lakeside champ anymore. The little attention he received faded away, and he started craving it. Now must do anything to keep himself relevant
