All this Top 16 talk is actually a bit of an insult to Bunting's current ability and future potential. There are only 2 players in the world definitely better than Bunting at this moment in time. 3 at a push. Top 16 is already a foregone conclusion.

If there were only two players definitely better why was the "foregone conclusion" such a low expectation?

Roland from Grange Hill became a fucking spent force the day he turned his back on those pitiful maroon blazer wearing shitebags.
He'd be lucky to pull out a result against a free falling cyclops unless a camera was involved the sorrowful excuse for a human being.
Stephen Cunting may have lost his edge on the dartboard but he could still make a living out of freezing old age pensioners to death in car parks or storing explosives for fundamentalist regimes in his progenia riddled offsprings bedroom.

That's not 5 years to the day.

You must be mistaken.

John Gwynne's tweet is mistaken if he's claiming that Sid Waddell did his last commentary on 9 February 2012. Sid was at the O2 Arena for finals night on 17 May 2012, commentating on the whole of Taylor vs. Wade semi final and the opening few legs of the Taylor vs. Whitlock final.

Sid was diagnosed with bowel cancer in September 2011, and 9 February 2012 was his first return to the commentary box after the cancer diagnosis (Night 1 of the 2012 Premier League in Manchester). Sid's last commentary before the cancer diagnosis was at the 2011 World Matchplay.
