I could have sworn that Barney had surpassed a 97:50 average in a Lakeshite final. However, after I checked, it seems he came close with a 97 average in 1998, and a 96:78 in 2005. Fordham also hit a 97 average in 2004.

Lakeshite has clearly regressed over the past decade. There's a decent chance that Taylor and Brissy records will continue to stand.
