It was Richie Burnett who threw a 97.14 average in the 1998 final, in losing to Raymond van Barneveld. Barney threw 93.96 in the same match in winning.

sennafan24 wrote:Yeah, I was slightly surprised.

I could have sworn that Barney had surpassed a 97:50 average in a Lakeshite final. However, after I checked, it seems he came close with a 97 average in 1998, and a 96:78 in 2005. Fordham also hit a 97 average in 2004.

Lakeshite has clearly regressed over the past decade. There's a decent chance that Taylor and Brissy records will continue to stand.
It's a racing certainty

The 1998 page says one thing, and the main BDO World Darts Championship page says another. Ha! They can't both be right.

Ha, but they CAN both be wrong. That doesn't bring us any closer to the truth, does it now.

The Adams one was genius.

Which one.

Where he went into hospital for a check on his backbone and found nothing - which lasted months

or the part how he was born in a circus - that lasted as long although a year or so before

Just seen this in the edit history by whoever deleted your edit: "Removed unsubstantiated claims regarding Adams's health made by a known Irish hater of Adams". :D

Oh dear. Elliot Cornish's hero, right wing journalist/authorMilo Yiannopolous has been outed saying he is in favour of 13 year old boys having relationships with much older men.

I hope MH doesn't wind him up about this on twitter mate.
