Raymond van Barneveld will finish the year no better than joint-46th on the seasonal Order of Merit. He doesn't deserve to be in the conversation for who should be in the conversation of who should be in the conversation for 2019 Premier League.

Prediction: Raymond van Barneveld will retire effective immediately.

No surprise there. The guy has made it clear for years that he's just playing on for the money. Even if his PL selection is now more in doubt than it was two hours ago, there's no way he's gonna make it easier on the PDC and Sky by bowing out gracefully on his own before they have to make their decisions.

Re: Rogg's Twatter Watch
Except now Barney's got no choice, unless he is content to retire or not get to the next World Championship. Whatever troubles he had in recent years, the fact is that when he's in the top 16 then he guarantees that he will be in nearly all the TV tournaments. Whereas now he's well outside the top 16 after a very poor loss in his first match at the World Championship.Fiss Plaps wrote: ↑Tue Dec 18, 2018 8:00 pm This is just a rehash of a tweet from around this time last year.
As has been said by other posters, Barney will have the UK Open, and he might get into the Grand Slam with some luck, but at the moment that looks to be it as far as TV events go, unless he starts playing the tour consistently and doing well on that tour.

Re: Rogg's Twatter Watch
Hearn is, to some extent, talking crap. The TV rights and thousands of tickets (including two sold out Dutch dates) have already been sold when not a single name has actually been confirmed for the event.
If Barney doesnt play then people are hardly going to ask for money back ffs.

Re: Rogg's Twatter Watch
That's right. Maybe the Rotterdam night would be less special but is that really a reason to pick the cunt? Having said that I'm not sure how his absence would affect the TV ratingsThe Ginge Reaper wrote: ↑Wed Dec 19, 2018 10:18 am Hearn is, to some extent, talking crap. Re: Rogg's Twatter Watch
I've already stated the solution: get him to Rotterdam to play a couple of exbo matches: Taylor one night, someone else the next. Or Taylor both nights if you fucking have to.
