Mark Hussell @MarkHussell 37m
Justice. That’s what you get for not letting a Champion defend his title.

Maybe he could have dragged Taylor down, we will never know.

Calling out his own sponsor, interesting. To be fair Smith has one of the lightest throws. He also play with the standard silver points. Even pub players know those are crap. So I doubt he's really entitled to complain here.

Why are Winmau boards so superior to Unicorn boards, exactly?

They are better according to the vast majority of dart players who have actually played on them. It's pretty clear that Unicorn boards are far from the best boards there are. That's about it.

Yes, I know that. The question is why is it the case that the Unicorn boards are nowhere near the quality of the Winmau boards? This was as much the case 10-15 years ago as today. Do Winmau use some trademarked superior material for their boards that Unicorn are forbidden to use, or something? There has to be a reason.

I'm not sure where Winmau manufactures their boards but Unicorn used to do it in England but now they moved to China. That could be a reason. To be honest overall I'd say the quality control at Unicorn is really poor. I never had a board because I was more clever than that, but tried Unicorn flights and stems and they are crap. It also could be that Unicorn cares more about the aesthetics of the dartboard than for example Winmau does.

Agreed. I have Blade 4 and after more than five years of playing trebles are still untouched.

That might not have a lot to do with the type of board eh?
