Looks like the BBC are doing a live ticker thingy for the final: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/darts/59858980

Also live on main Talksport radio from 7pm... Mitchell may be involved again, beware. He's alright at it actually. The first MVG-Wright world final was live on BBC Radio 5Live as I recall which seemed a huge deal at the time.

Barry hits back at MvG for his comments, I guess the PDC could have implemented a bubble, and they could have also done a few more things to stop the spread of the virus, but at the same time, the players perhaps should have just stayed in their hotel rooms

The interesting bit in that is that 95 of the 96 competitors are double-jabbed, and the other one has had one jab. I guess maybe some (or all? I don't know lol) of the international players would have needed a jab simply to be able to enter the country, but still, just one player in the whole field not double-jabbed is a lot lower than I thought it would be!

Pretty surprising, especially as the average IQ of the field must be in the 80s

Whereas among Premier League footballers, I seem to remember from October(?) data, 81% had at least one dose but only 58% had both doses, meaning 19% unvaccinated.

Well in football, they can have cases but the show goes on (even if games have to be postponed, they can get rearranged for a later date), I guess the darts players even if they are sceptical of vaccines know that if they test positive during a TV event, they're losing their meal ticket

I remember Jose said he had some side-effects from the vaccine, although I suspect there's a lot more fear from professional footballers that the vaccine will affect them physically than from darts players

And footballers are on fixed wages, where they get a certain amount of money every week whether they play or not. Dart players get paid according to what they achieve in a tournament, and if forced to pull out will lose money.

He is smiling, helping out local business. He has done well on the tour. I think he is enjoying life. He was never meant to be competing with the MVG's and Wright's. Even though he did win that title unifying game against Anderson.
