Load of bollocks, the use of the hurdles comparison is shit as well, in athletics there’s a clear physical gap between men and women, this doesn’t apply in darts or snooker

Women’s darts just needs to be looked at that it’s like 40 years behind the men’s game, give it another 10-15 years and I’m sure there’ll be loads of quality women players, just gotta get through this rough process at the minute where there’s only 2 that are ‘elite’

Darts is mostly a mental game just like chess, poker and the like. Those games don't have unique 'easier' rules for women. Why would darts?

Co Stompe on Fatz. https://dartsnews.com/bdo/stompe-recall ... ve-referee

"He had an amazing sense of humour and knew how to entertain a lot of people. However, he was also a dictator, he thought he owned all the darts tournaments and had power over everything and everyone. But then he had a bad customer the Dutch who, unlike most English players, did not let themselves be taught," said Stompé.
---
"He was absolutely not an objective referee. Martin Adams was a great friend of his. If you had to play against Adams, Fitzmaurice would start nagging you half an hour before the game to deliberately screw you up. I was too nice for it myself, but I've seen several players walk out angry," Stompé laughs.

There's also a lot of quotes about him in RVB's autobiography (yes I have it and have read it)

Although it backs Stompe up, I'm sure RVB's words would be taken with lots of salt here
