Bringing it back to Adams, I don't think anyone would be stupid enough to suggest that he was afraid to play the best players in the PDC, but rather that he made the best choice for himself and vindicated his choice as being correct by winning three Lakesides and three Masters. It's worth noting that he never claimed to be better than the best in the PDC.

It's funny that the same people who throw out the Spineless rhetoric think that he's vastly over-rated as a player. If he was incapable of being successful in the PDC, as these people would suggest, then surely staying in the BDO was a masterstroke of genius.
Call me stupid. I do think some level of fear was there on Adams part. Fear of working hard fear of not being in the mix with the best fear of not being the big fish in a little pond. Adams was vastly over rated as his measure was pretty much based on BDO titles only. His titles came when the BDO was a shell of its former self.

Was staying in the BDO a master stroke? He would have made more money with less travel abroad than he did in the BDO. Adams is at least as good as Steve Beaton who makes a living. After Adams won the first title and most certainly after the second there was no risk financially for him to go to the PDC. Sponsors would have given him enough to cover the risk.

So here is a guy that is supposed to be top of his game a competitor a sports hero right. Yet he makes the choice not to play the best on a regular basis. As far as I can recall years of reading books and stories in the media about players top of their sport they worked hard to advance themselves seeking opportunities and setting goals to play against the best and in top of their leagues.

So what does it say about a player who chooses not to compete in the top system when he appears to have the talent? Fear, lazy, spineless pick one pick them all. Certainly it is fair to argue that he was over rated as he never put himself in a situation to be tested regularly against the best.

Just call me stupid.

Barrs by some considerable distance
Pieter for me. A lying sack of shit whose work was ripped off from others with no credit given to the real sources. Pieter website he works for is mainly an aggregator for news but pass themselves off as journalist.

Barrs does some decent work and appears to do his own pieces and of course interviews. Granted he cant pucker his lips fast enough to get to someones ass. He needs to be tougher on questions and I admit for untrained or inexperienced journalist types it is hard to find the balance between being accommodating and asking the tough questions that fans want to hear.

Dutch news outlet with a topic on matchfixing in darts, and it seems to be prevalent in the Netherlands more than elsewhere. A few players have been approached, among which Niels Zonneveld, Maik Kuivenhoven and someone who prefers to stay anonymous.
Good to see you back. Stick around this time, although your resignation statements from
this board are brilliant 😉
At this point it's becoming a gig.

By the way, now that you mention it, f you all I'm leaving.

Ochepedia (Christopher Kempf) with a very interesting analysis on whether MvG is still in decline, based on Darts Orakel's stats:

Nice article good analysis. Only thing I would question is the choice of 2018 as a benchmark. The thing is you dont want to be using an outlier of MvG performance to answer the question is he in decline or even if he is facing better opponents. Not sure if 2018 is an outlier but you really want a better representation of MvG standard over a couple years.

Is kemp part of dart oracle? The article was credited to dart oracle not Kemp.
