Re: Darts articles in the Media thread
This is definitely worth watching as it goes through quite a lot of things of interest.
Gonna be less of the 'super series blocks', Porter says its gonna be hybrid, so probably a block or 2 here and there throughout the year but not when the Premier League is on as that'd be unfair on Prem players.
Pairs only in the world cup got mentioned and he basically said they probably won't do that but to expect exciting things with the World Cup
Expecting a full tour next year
Q School is gonna carry on as 2 stages like it did this year
If you qualified for the 3rd euro tour it rolls over to next year, but if you've lost your tour card you'll still be invited but the ranking money you woulda got is fucked, to be fair I don't know any other way around that issue

Re: Darts articles in the Media thread
The PDC owns no one a living as they say. If you miss out by an Euro Tour you were probably shite anyway. End of. This is the only way they could have sorted this. The third Euro Tour was always in the air.
2 stage Q School is a clear improvement over the previous format.
World Cup pairs is an interesting idea. At the end of the day it won't change much. The standard is what it is. People argue that the current formats suits the big teams yet fucking Hendo won it this year, Ireland was in the final last year. Shit players won't start playing better in long format doubles games.

Re: Darts articles in the Media thread
There's still some things that could be changed imo. Like making Masters ranked and deciding what to do about the Champions League.TheMalteseDart wrote: โWed Oct 20, 2021 8:24 pm

Still, loads more Euro Tour is good, as are the occasional blocks. Hopefully there aren't loads in Germany.
