This is actually true, come think of it. He's by far the most petulant about it too (even worse than the cry baby Snakeshite). Becoming somewhat insufferable to be honest.

Plus i'm pretty sure his Mrs was at it on twitter too before one of his finals, the Matchplay possibly, she called out someone before the final saying "remember you said Michael might never win a major, well let's see tomorrow..." or something along those lines

Just had a look and Smith hasn't won a ranked tournament for nearly 19 months. I think he gets too much smoke blown up his ass people telling him how good he is, look at the Tour Mates videos the PDC does like 8/10 players instantly name him as a future World Champ. He takes great offense when MVG calls him mentally weak but if he listened to more criticism he might actually fulfill the potential that his talent could.
