Wattimena, Webster, Clayton and Wilson are not names you want to see advancing.

I think Randall needs a suicide watch thread.

It was a really depressing night last night, after a pretty lack lustre week.
After the high of Blackpool, and to a degree Brighton this just felt totally underwhelming.

I know. There there.

Double-in doesn't do much for me at the best of times tbh. The "something different" value is real but the number of dead legs and panic attacks it seems to create hardly makes for satisfying viewing. Unless you enjoy the darker side of things. I think the players hate it.

I probably prefer that to gsod so it's all good.

The slide down the rankings for Alan Norris is really picking up pace, he's been at #17 since just before the Matchplay, but now with £25,000 of Euro Tour money to come off, he'll drop to at least #22 and could end up as low as #25

Haven't seen him play for a long time, but he must be throwing some absolute shit.

Dream draw for a Qualifier at Ally Pally.

From zero to the Top 64 in October without a tour card.

Burton DeWitt‏ @bsd987
Krzysztof Ratajski moves up to #60 in the world. I don't expect him to start falling anytime soon.

Burton just posted that Max has knocked Thornton out of the top 32. It is the first time the thorn has been outside the 32 since 2012 when he won the Uk Open

Burton DeWitt @bsd987
James Wade's 29th PDC title—one shy of Colin Lloyd for 4th all time—sees him shoot back up to #6 in the world.
Steve West up to a career high #23, as Max Hopp moves onto the cusp of a debut in the Top 32.

Wade is defending quite a lot of cash between now and the worlds..
50k for the GS, 5k PC finals and 38k for the worlds.

Interesting point by Erik Middelkoop, Hopp won't enter the top 32 until at least the Grand Slam, and as he hasn't played much on the Development Tour this year, he isn't ranked high enough to go to the World Youth Championship. He's not in Vienna so who knows, we might see him play in Wigan for what would probably be his last ever DT weekend

This really highlights how undeserved Barney's PL place is.

Unless the PDC has decided to make a last-minute rule change, the top 32 thing wouldn't have got Hopp into the Youth Worlds anyway, since that only applies to players who were top 32 at the start of the season.

Max Hopp will replace Rabbie Thornton in the top 32 at the conclusion of the Grand Slam. First German to reach that landmark, but I dare say he'll be the last
