Top ten is going to be transformed.
Just as well, it's a depressing read.

The top table cracking open. Lovely to witness.

For all the ridicule he receives and deserves, Chizzy is hanging in there rather well.

yar. In fact with Anderson and Lewis defending piles of cash soon and Pheel presumably handing in his tour card, Suljovic could become world #3 at some point.

1. Van Gerwen
2. Wright
3. Suljovic
4. Gurney

Guessing games but could be.
Not saying when but could be.

Wright could be number two in the world despite having no hope of ever winning a real big one unless someone else can get rid of the other big boys (not just MvG). I know Wade needed someone else to beat Taylor when he won his but Wright would need most of the top ten getting rid of except maybe Chizzy if he wants to get it done.

Wright can't be the only number two ever with no hope of winning a major, can he?
When you actually feel anger over a place like this it's time to get a life

It's unremarkable. It's an Order of Merit that among other things hugely values commitment and consistency (of which Wright is the model), not an order of players most able to win a ranking title on the telly. That's some weirdly extreme description of Wright, anyway. Of course he has hope.

Ok I'll rephrase it, maybe he has hope however I give him no chance due to the likelihood of him soiling himself when the opportunity presents itself against one of the big boys. Obviously if there's a similar scenario to the UK open again then it's different.

He just has to get over the line, as he should have done in the PL and he could kick on.

Oh yeah I agree if he wins one with the quality he's shown in patches over the last few years he'd probably win more I just doubt he'll ever do it, if he couldn't do it in that pl final it's hard to see a better chance.

Peter Wright has won a major, the 2017 UK Open. He won't be Terry Jenkins or Ronnie Baxter. That monkey is off his back.

Daryl Gurney now #6 in the OoM after his WGP victory. Whitlock also back up to #12 now.

Hey, thanks Burton.

Huge leaps for Gurney and Whitlock.

Wright moves to within pocket money of Anderson.

How is Lewis still fourth?
Either doesn't play at all or loses early doors.

If Lewis fails to defend that money, he surely is in contention to be booted from the PL. Saying that, didn't Ando get in one year when he dropped a significant amount?
