Back to back worlds even though he was fortunate when Wade blew the semi is some achievement but luck has to be taken and he took it. But I don't think anyone would disagree he's under performed, achieved since.

Looking at the current OOM, VdV is 18th and Bunting is 19th and about to start defending some ranking money.

That's not actually true. In terms of "televised PDC wins", Wade has won 7 of them and MVG has won 8 (with a world's to boot). Anderson and Lewis both have 4, Barney 6 and Taylor is obviously miles ahead like.

does well enough in the euro events and remember these pay a lot more than the floor comps

Mensur is doing the full Pro Tour this year, it's how he got to qualify for the World Matchplay in the first place. Qualifying for every Euro Tour (and winning a round or two usually) also helps a lot.

That said he's also been having good ranked major results this year, quarterfinal at the UK Open and quarterfinal at the WMP.
