The fact that fuckers like Andy Smith are picking up 40-50k a year, plus sponsors and exhibitions etc, makes me fucking sick. Shit fat cunt

I am glad he can make that, in fact I am glad the pdc is making it possible for a whole heap of players, even lower players like smith to make a living in the game.

If olly croft and the bdo had their way olly would be still driving a rolls royce while the players eeked out a wretched existence playing for pittance in piss soaked dark shitholes in the north of england

Oh don't get me wrong, if you can get into the top 32, you're making a fantastic living. Fair play to the PDC

It is a credit to Chizzy that he has maintained his position within the top 8. I expect him to rise to the top 4 within the next year.

Wayne Jones 32nd on £72,100.

So that's PDC tournament winnings of £36,050 per year over the two years.

I wonder how much of this would be left after costs ?

If he is sponsored to do the tour then a percentage would go back to his sponsor I guess.

How much is the PDC levy or whatever they call it , 1.5 % ?

Costs would be travel and hotels, not a vast amount really as they tend to do it on the cheap sharing cars and room etc.

you are forgetting he may have won 72 k that is not 36 a year, as year one he obviously won more as he has dropped down to 72, which suggests he won more the calender year 2 years ago than this year.

dont forget he also made a lot of GSoD's which are not included in that money list, sponsorship covers a lot of his entry fee's.
What exactly he takes out of lump sum purse in terms of tax I am not sure but reckon some solicitor has a way so that he pays the very least possible.

It would be interesting to see how much these guys actually earn, i guess a lot of Exbo's are done for ''cash'' but probably not as easy to get away with that these days as it was in the past.

a lot of monies would be classed as expenses, free pints fucked in, hotel room travel etc.

granted they pay managers/ agents/ solicitors, but thats because its easier to pay them to help you keep as much of your money( and earn it) rather than letting some government tax officer sort it out for you and rob you blind

I reckon the sponsorship of players like steve brown, taylor, ando etc all did must be a racket as well

Like business using foundations in order to avoid taxes, these "sponsorship" deals would be another way to put certain money aside and get rebates etc

Sponsorship is an allowable expense as long as it's wholly and exclusively business related. You can't sponsor a family member for instance and expect to get the expense allowed
