Maybe I should have gone with "top Austrians opt out of the pdc qualifier for the Austrian Darts Open" to go play in the big money steel tip tournament in the Philippines?
Got a link for that news?

Assuming it's the RJRs.

I gotta remember now as I dug info from different sites including an espn5 video clip from the Philippines.
It was a dartoid column that started me searching...
http://dartoidsworld.net/2018/03/column ... oban-city/
it was said rowby-john is going, along with one of his brothers and another player that would have been seeded in the Austrian ET qualifier. Someone with a long name. think it was Michael Rasztovits.

see that the Polish Eagle, KRYSZTOF RATAJSKI, has trucked over to the Philippines too.
joining in with rowby, rusty & rasztovits in the 4 man

$480 (US) will be awarded for hitting a 9 darter in the singles,
but only to the first four. :D
so if you are the 5th person to do a 9'er in the event, you are shit out of luck.

Being there instead of trying for the Austria ET could cost Rowby his tour card. He must REALLY want to be there.

see that ratajski, rowby, rusty & rasztovits win the 4 man in tacloban.
a cool five grand (US) apiece for them.

Tournament mvp gets 2 grand in bonus money.
depends how ratajski and rowby do in the singles.
looks likely one of them will pocket it.

That's some great prize money, now I understand why they aren't doing the Euro Tour

To be fair, the Philippines are absolutely lovely. Not sure I'd jeopardise my career to go there though!

What's Kenny Neyens been up to these days? Haven't heard from him since Q-School, surprising, especially as he was active on the dev tour last year. I believe he is the only European based player from Ally Pally to have sat this year out so far

Looked quite decent on the Dev Tour last year, and especially gave a good account of himself at Ally Pally. Strange that he hasn't played anything this season
