Re: Random Dart Stuff
I know it was probably down to ego not wanting to get beat more than he used to but considering how much of a money hungry bastard Taylor is i'm still sometimes amazed he didn't go down the "i'll play what and when I feel like it as long as i'm qualified for stuff" route instead of retiring. He surely would have continued to bank absolute minimum £300k+ in prizemoney every year til now and probably for the next 5 or so years too.Randall wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 2:02 pm https://dartsnews.com/taylor-defeats-va ... a-in-kiel/

Sure he is earning very well without the pressures of the tourSuperSwede wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 3:44 pmI know it was probably down to ego not wanting to get beat more than he used to but considering how much of a money hungry bastard Taylor is i'm still sometimes amazed he didn't go down the "i'll play what and when I feel like it as long as i'm qualified for stuff" route instead of retiring. Re: Random Dart Stuff
Incidentally, Taylor's been invited to Dartslive's Superdarts soft-tip shindig in March again. He was already in the 16-player field for the most recent edition in 2018, but didn't win. (Lost the final to Muramatsu 4-3.) Winner gets about £70,000.

Saw that, Leung and Krcmar also playing, on the same weekend as a ProTour and Euro Tour qualifiers. Lim, Lam, Muramatsu, Suzuki and Justicia are some of the more well-known other players there

Re: Random Dart Stuff
True enough. He could have just done tv events for at least another couple of years but I guess maybe he didn't fancy the slog of the PL and at the same time maybe didn't want to be active and not involved it in.Randall wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 4:13 pmSure he is earning very well without the pressures of the tourSuperSwede wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 3:44 pmI know it was probably down to ego not wanting to get beat more than he used to but considering how much of a money hungry bastard Taylor is i'm still sometimes amazed he didn't go down the "i'll play what and when I feel like it as long as i'm qualified for stuff" route instead of retiring. He couldn't stand losing competitive games though, especially towards the end when he knew that peak Taylor would have smashed itSuperSwede wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2020 1:08 amTrue enough.
