Don't normally post this table (thanks Burton) but there's Ratajski into Euro seed territory. Smith drops out again.

Burton DeWitt @bsd987 13m
Here are the seeds tomorrow, assuming no withdrawals. Krzysztof Ratajski's 4th PDC title lifts him to #10 on the ProTour Order of Merit.

Everybody Gets Fifteen Quid: The True Story of Darts Champion, Shayne Burgess
Shayne Burgess was born near Hastings in 1964. All he ever wanted to do was play darts. At the peak of his career, he went on to become World Number Three.

Like many in his era, he found himself embroiled in The Split, which rocked the darts world in 1993 and changed the game forever. His story, however, is like nobody else's. From smuggling cigarettes to eating roadkill, life on the road meant living in the back of a campervan. Mixing it with the greats of the game, but often down to his last penny, this is the true story of what it is like to play professional darts.

What goes on tour no longer stays on tour...

quick question, saw lord ronnie in the crowd in blackpool other night, got me thinking of his 7 nil loss to ted in the world final around 2000, ronnie walked into his room the night before and a fellow dart player was pumping his wife, was it andy jenkins? name eludes me, thanks.

MICHAEL SMITH MAKES INTERESTING CLAIM ABOUT RAYMOND VAN BARNEVELD'S RETIREMENT

It seems that not everyone is convinced Raymond van Barneveld is set to retire from professional darts.

The five-time world champion vowed to quit competitive action at the end of the 2019 season. For a brief moment, it seemed like it would be even sooner. Barney made a shock retirement announcement after being dumped out of the Premier League Darts, only to make a dramatic U-turn. Premier League rival Michael Smith believes the retirement itself could be something van Barneveld changes his mind on.
“I don’t think he’ll retire. He’s said it but I don’’t think it’ll happen,” the new Premier League Darts basement player told the Metro.
“He’s being a businessman, he’s been clever in what he’s done.
“I think he’ll be playing next season. He was clever because where he was in the rankings he was never going to get in the Premier League; so he’s got his money now.
“He’ll get excited for it again, start enjoying his darts and decide not to retire.”

Smith offered stark words of warning to the darting legend, who has slid down the PDC rankings in recent times. A World Championship farewell is in doubt, despite Barney powering to the Players Championship 8 final.
Jelle Klaasen and Jermaine Wattimena think van Barneveld will represent the Netherlands at the PDC World Cup of Darts but Smith, who looks set to play alongside Rob Cross for England, doesn’t agree.
“The UK Open and then Rotterdam in the Premier League could be his last TV events because he’s not qualified for anything. He needs to pull his finger out,” the Englishman asserted.
“They can’t put him in the World Cup. PDC Europe put a picture out of Max Hopp and Martin Schindler for Germany and then Van Gerwen and Barney for Holland, but the PDC made them remove it.”

Does anybody agree with Michael Smith on this one?

Inb4 Fanny claims that the PDC was to blame, as Roy was playing for them at the time.

Price appeal rejected.

https://www.pdc.tv/news/2019/08/05/dra- ... ice-appeal

Fine reduced from £21500 to £11500, but he has to pay an absurd £2325.24 for the appeal.
Boring Brendas number one and (almost) only fan.

Smithys number one and (definitely not) only hater.

Not the last place you'd expect to see him, to be honest.

Sunshine Radio wins that Red Dragon Champs of Champs event, beating Bradley Brooks 2-0 (best of 3 legs) in the final. And look how pleased he is!
