The first 2020 World Series venue has been announced.

The iconic Madison Square Garden is to host top-class darts for the first time when the stars of the sport visit New York on the World Series of Darts tour in 2020.

The Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden will host the U.S. Darts Masters and North American Championship on June 5-6, bringing the likes of current world number one Michael van Gerwen to New York.

Good news, obviously it's difficult to get the Asians to come over to Europe, but to those who don't take the plunge or don't get a card, this is the next best thing. Heard India will get a weekend, which might be awkward for some of the players based in East Asia, but that's just how it goes on such a big continent. Expect to see more of Nitin Kumar and pals then

Indeed, though MvG is averaging over 116 at the moment!

Lovely stuff. More prestigious than that Scania Open tripe.

Read MVG saying the other day that his one regret is not getting to put right his defeat to Taylor in a world final.

He had darts to beat Cross to set up the rematch in 2018. Would he have beaten Taylor in that final?

Fancy it would have been a lot closer than Cross-Taylor, after all, Cross has no mental baggage with Taylor at all

Fallon was just on Talksport 2. Nicho and Mason on next. May have missed Wright and Matt Porter, not sure.

Porter is here. Says the viewing figures around the world last night were 'sensational'.

Says he's heard nothing from Taylor and doesn't expect to. 'He would have to go to Q-School'. Imagine turning up in Wigan and having to play that.

Dan Dawson on next.
