The celebrations were the actions referred to in the DRA statement. The DRA deemed that the celebrations were crossing the line and they deemed them gamesmanship. The DRA sets the boundaries and defines the actions in the way they see fit. So if you want to play a semantics game that celebrations stopped being celebrations and became gamesmanship then ok but does not change the fact the action was Price celebrating and how he did it was the problem.

Technically he has 14 days to appeal. 14 days starts when the player is notified personally. I don't know when that happened. Even if the 14 days has passed Price can still put in an appeal it is up to the DRA if they deem that there are circumstances that they should set aside the 14 day time frame. But they are not obligated to hear the appeal if it is outside the 14 days, but they can if they want. Basically the DRA writes the rules and interprets them the way they want and can make any rules they deem necessary to conduct their business. Look at the DRA rule book on the DRA website.

But what is "gamesmanship" in the rule book when it comes to celebrating a score or double? Is it anything objective? What exactly is "crossing the line" when it comes to celebrations? Also, what is all this "we want the players to be characters" stuff we keep hearing from certain quarters?

I see your point PT13 , and agree with it. The DRA dropped the ball on the issue of subjectivity of the definition. This was the time for them to put some hard and fast rules or at a minimum some clarification. Even the term aggressive is very subjective. The DRA could have made simple rules or a statement on specific behavior. For e.g. You can't celebrate by walking out of the lane or path to collect your darts. Or you can't celebrate to incite the crowd behind the player during the other players throw while he is on the Oche. Or in the case of Wade you can't direct your celebration or actions at your opponent intentionally.
