Actually, there was one at the Dutch Open on Dutch telly in 2015.

So :pointing: to you as well

So there has never ever been a live BDO/WDF nine darter on a British TV station, ever? That is a remarkable stat if true.
Big changes on the way ! We've heard it before but it's different this time !!!! , I believe Bdo gonna grow x

Scottish and Welsh darts logos are on there but not the EDO one. Stupid cunts.

He'll be out of it now.

Wake up about 10 tonight, still drunk and soaked in piss.

Then he'll start posting again.

first thing he will do is go to forum home, scroll down and see the post total on TDF-lite to see if it has moved up over ten posts in a 24 period on TDF-lite

Then take a deep breath and visit here stupidly hoping this place was dead...until he sees yet again its the busiest forum and will cause him to hit the cheap cider right away

Posted the whole post in the JC Blog thread but this bit is worthy of discussion. Tommy Thompson on the British Internationals:
Lastly, lots of people thought the coverage was good, perhaps the signal in the far flung outposts of our previous colony, wasn’t that great hence the criticism, however a spokesmen from the Men players told me that the players don’t want TV, so I am sure both us and the BDO will be better suited, save us negotiating time and money, more money in our coffers, no need to hassle sponsors into parting with their companies assets, because the players don’t want it, perhaps I should let Barry Hearn know, this is how the new breed of dart players think. Happy Days all round.
Really?!?!

Figures for the darts at the weekend:

1 FRONT RUNNER - FACING OFF (THU 1800) 10 n/a
2 LIVE DARTS (SAT 1300) 9 n/a
3 WORLD POKER TOUR (10) (MON 1601) 9 n/a
4 LIVE DARTS (SUN 2225) 8 n/a
5 WORLD POKER TOUR (10) (SUN 2213) 7 n/a
6 LIVE DARTS (SUN 2240) 7 n/a
7 WORLD POKER TOUR (10) (THU 2000) 7 n/a
8 POKER NIGHTS IN AMERICA (FRI 1530) 6 n/a
9 LIVE DARTS (SUN 0930) 6 n/a
10 WORLD POKER TOUR (9) (WED 1900) 6 n/a

Given the time of the programmes I assume the "live darts" at number 4 and 6 were highlights of some kind, it certainly wasnt on until that time.

So 9k watched Saturday which included women, men and boys, and 6k watched Sunday which was just men and women. Sunday was a longer programme though....

Speaking of which, sub-10k viewership numbers for the second Front Runner foray as well.

Edit: D'oh, seconds too late.

Sorry :D

The early start on the Sunday following the clock change probably wont have helped: Sunday was 33% lower than Saturday. Same happened a fortnight before as well.

I expect some on Fanatics will argue this means that youth darts should be shown more as it got more than a day with no youth darts....

So a spokesman for the men has stated they don't want to be on TV. What a fucking statement from the ambitionless, backward, knuckle dragging simpletons. Carry on playing in pubs lads, pick up your trophy at the end of the season and sing the national anthem to an audience of your friends and family. Leave serious darts to the PDC, you know, where they play for a share of £11,000,000 live on TV in front of tens of 1000's of paying punters.

The suggestion that it was Scott Mitchell has been poo-pooed elsewhere by the, ahem, "houseboy".

Apparently it was "shouted in front of 40 folk."

The players want the same as the general public. No shitty BDO on the telly ever again.

Has Jobber been around recently?
