15 days to go. Looking forward to it now lads.

Any sign of the bloody Asian qualifier yet?! Whoever's up the wiki page has gone for Pengiran Mohamed.

They used to do the Trophy qualifying at the Japan Open in July, together with the Lakeside qualifying for Asia. Last year they made the puzzling decision to give the Lakeside qualifying to some Malaysian org instead (and then clashed the date with the World Masters for good measure). And I guess the BDO just forgot to have somebody do a Trophy qualifying event afterwards.

Maybe they didn't think the Trophy would happen in 2018 either.

Anyway, Mohamed wouldn't be the most surprising choice. That's how they did the international invites the first year, simply re-invited the 8 previous Lakeside qualifiers, didn't they?

FWIW, the BDO site also says it's Mohamed: http://bdodarts.com/wdt18pr.php

Pengiran Mohamed:

500/1 to win the tournament, 17/2 to beat Mitchell. I know where my £2.50 is going.

I heard that Scotty Dog shouldn't have too much trouble in Rd1 against <insert Johnny Foreigner here>

Lakeshite?
There is a crowd behind him in the picture so I'd ruled out a bdo event.

I admit I will watch this for the laughs, won't watch it all but will tune in for a few select matches. Just might get lucky and stumble across a decent quality match here and there.

If it's on freeview or sky I'll have a giggle at it when the proper darts isn't on. Little hope of any decent darts but laughs guaranteed.

Reynolds v Unterbuchner in R1 is a good one (you know)
Be interesting to see what Andy Baetens is up to and I like Big Darius, even tho the BDO say he's shite.
Jeffrey Spirograph was horrifyingly bad at the piss palace, but for some reason I have it in mind that he has potential. Am I mental. Hope he beats O'Sheep.

So few players of interest. If you thought last year's edition was a struggle on all fronts, from that field has been lost Adams, Fordham, Fitton, Veenstra, De Vos, Noppert, Hughes, Menzies and Smith.

What's happened to De Vos?
He averaged 115 for five legs once in his life of you hadn't heard.

Yarp. Fallen out of love with the game, according to Pauly over the road.
Miles short of the piss palace spots at the moment too, maybe won't be bothering with that either.
