TV schedule for the Comedy Roadshow is a slight bit odd in comparison to recent years: Quest is only showing the afternoon sessions (as expected) but Eurosport is showing both with a 2 hour replay of the afternoon session straight after it's finished (???)

Although I doubt the BDO will be happy to see this...

Do Eurosport and Quest publish viewing figures?

The Bristow comparison is an insult to Eric.

I'd much rather he emulated the great Eric Bristow by dropping dead outside the venue.

Is that too harsh?

When Bristow took three on the bounce all the world's best players were in the field. No different to Adams claiming he equaled Anderson's three Masters wins

The record average in a BDO World Championship match is still Raymond van Barneveld's 103.83 from 2004 against John Walton. The record average in a BDO World Championship final is still Phil Taylor's 97.58 from 1992 against Mike Gregory.

I saw the first TV ads for Lakeshite last night...
Strangely they were shown around 5.00am on the Discovery channel.
They are really cheesy...
Has anyone else seen them?

The BDO always remember Eric Bristow, because he was the biggest champion in darts at the time when the BDO were at the peak of their powers and the peak of their influence in darts. There's also the fact that, although Bristow later became one of the WDC rebels, he spent years up until 1988 or so always supporting the BDO and the Crofts from their strongest critics. Olly and Lorna Croft were like second parents to Eric Bristow, while John Lowe was making complaints about how darts was run by the Crofts and the maroon blazers even as early as 1975 and said that only Alan Evans and Leighton Rees supported him at the beginning.

The final average must go eventually.
Trebles are twice as big as Taylor played on.
