The last accounts report cash reserves just under £800k, they still have a few bob left

Also bear in mind they haven't lost money over the past few years, I expect the current year to be different.
I believe they're vanity or desperation projects also but the accounts are the accounts and were healthy. They have a 75/100 credit rating and would be higher were they to publish the accounts quicker which leads me to my real suspicions.sennafan24 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2019 4:55 pm Surely they have suffered major losses through the WDT and Masters? I've seen those tournaments be referred to as vanity projects by several people.
I trust Mason's information as well.

Well managed and financially sound companies don't wait till the very last minute to publish accounts. I've no doubt there's something untoward in the background but Micro Accounts give me very little to work with. I doubt February coming will reveal much but 2021 could be very interesting
It's about the timing mate.sennafan24 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2019 5:11 pmAh, my mistake.M H wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2019 5:03 pmI believe they're vanity or desperation projects also but the accounts are the accounts and were healthy. The 2021 accounts will cover the losses sustained between mid-2019 and mid-2020. The 2020 accounts will cover the losses sustained between mid-2018 and mid-2019. Correct?
Even so, the 2020 accounts will surely cover the losses they suffered through running the Masters and WDT in 2018? I can imagine the losses they suffered from running those two events in both 2018 and 2019 is now coming back to haunt them?
I get all of that.M H wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2019 5:19 pm It's about the timing mate.
May 2018 accounts are filed already, albeit just on time and reporting a profit. May 2019 are due by February 2020 and we don't know what will be reported.
In my opinion the content of the May 2020 accounts due for publication by February 2021 are the most interesting but are also a long way away
I can't say either way as they do have multiple income streams and Potter covered Lakeside 2019. Being totally honest I was astounded to see profit for the May 2018 year end as I expected a loss. That said at some point the losses will materialise, it's a matter of when not ifsennafan24 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2019 5:22 pmI get all of that.M H wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2019 5:19 pm It's about the timing mate.

But surely we know that the BDO will report losses in February of 2020. There is no chance they gained money between May 2018 and May 2019.

However, I now think it will be Des - https://dartsnews.com/bdo-future-in-jeo ... ter-event/
Des will always be a front-runner because he runs an entire organisation. If he fucks up, which he often does, it harms the career of several players. If a player messes up on stage, it usually only hinders their career.BeppeBergomi wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 3:23 pmFor a changesennafan24 wrote:You could also make a case for Harms or Veenstra.BeppeBergomi wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 3:10 pm Ian White would get a mention too I guess....
